The Greensboro ShepNet Computer Center for Seniors has offered computer classes for several thousand older adults over the past fourteen years.  The ShepNet mission is that of the primary local sponsor, Shepherd's Center of Greensboro -- "older adults helping older adults pursue independent and active lives of quality."

The Greensboro ShepNet Computer Center for Seniors age 50+ is operated by more than 75 dedicated volunteers who are themselves older adults.  Through their efforts they hope to build a community of individuals who use computers to make their presence known in the world and to improve the quality of their lives and their community.

Greensboro ShepNet activities are coordinated by Linda Collins (833-2480) and Ed Pring (288-2211). Classroom space is provided by Friends Homes at Guilford, 925A New Garden Road.  The Shepherd's Center office handles all business and records. The Shepherd's Center phone number is 378-0766.

Inclement Weather Policy

ShepNet computer classes are cancelled any  day that Guilford County Schools close.  If schools open only one or two hours late, it is presumed that bad street conditions are not expected after 8 or 9 am and that our classes can be held safely.  Makeup classes will be scheduled as needed.  Watch for announcement on WFMY-TV from the Shepherd's Center.
